We are delighted to welcome Caroline Douglas to the Mercer Gallery. Harrogate and
the Mercer have had a relationship with the Contemporary Art Society for almost 100
years. The current exhibition is full of the works that the gallery has been able to add to
its collection through this relationship, the first painting shown being received in 192

Caroline Douglas did a postgraduate degree at the Courtauld Institute of Art,
University of London in the 1990’s and became the Head of the Arts Council
Collection (2006 – 13) Caroline was on the panel for the CAS Annual Awards in
2010 and became Director of the Contemporary Art Society in October 2013.

Tickets including a glass of wine £12 for Friends and £15 for guests.
